    1873 Vardy Survey sheets NW 5 lots 50-53 now showing 4 terrace houses in the ownership D Clark (sic) (also owns lot 49) block to south unocccupied. https://stkildahistory.org.au/our-collection/resources/vardy-plans . Vardy and some rate book extracts suggest the whole was owned by William Derham Clarke, a wealthy squatter related to Sir William Clarke.(Liz Kelly)
