Description Contained approximately 12 rooms, two bathrooms, balcony, tower, marble-tiled floor, billiard room, library, conservatory and two coachhouses.
History Annie Dudgeon, young widow of John Dudgeon (a Van Diemen's Land convict), inherited 67,000 pounds, which was used towards the purchase of this land and the building of the residence. Dudgeon was also later married to Agar Wynne, who was for a time Victoria's Attorney General. The property was sold after Dudgeon's death (1926). It then seems to have become a boarding house under the name "Illoura" in 1927. Then in 1936, it was due to be demolished and replaced with a 10-storey building containing more than 200 flats, but this plan was rejected by council. From 1940, it was a guest house called Myrnong Hall.
