An East St Kilda residential street connecting Hotham and Westbury Streets, Fulton Street was named after one of the founders of Fulton's Foundry in Melbourne.
Cranford is one of the few remaining large houses in Fulton Street. With its circular driveway and generous entry, it provides a welcome glimpse of the past. It should however be even more famous for its previous inhabitants. One in particular was an antarctic explorer with Mawson and should have been awarded a medal for his bravery. He was however killed in WW1 before that medal could be bestowed. Read on to find out more.
